The lights in the arena dim before the lyrics “Say his name and he appears!” burst out of the speakers. The titantron lights up with “I Believe in Joe Hendry!” as the crowd claps and sings along in unison. Hendry turns around on the stage, beaming with confidence, with a glowing smile facing the camera. As the crowd cheers, Hendry points to fans here and there, and even signs a sign a fan brought to the show. The camera pans to Hendry leading the crowd, gesturing grandly as he steps down the ramp. He points at a few signs, including one that reads “Christian Cage = Mid” and another saying “Minnesota Believes in Joe Hendry!” He smirks and nods at the fans, clearly reveling in adulation. As he reaches the ring, Hendry climbs the steel steps, steps through the ropes, and climbs the turnbuckle. Hendry waves his arms side to side, encouraging the fans to follow along to the rhythm of his theme song’s lyrics and the majority follows. As the music slows, Hendry again dramatically turns to the camera center stage of the ring already with a Joe Hendry-branded microphone in hand.
Hendry lets his music fade, raising his hand to quiet the crowd. The arena buzzes with anticipation as he begins to speak.
He pauses dramatically as a playful ambiance of boos fills the arena at the mention of Christian.
Hendry paces the ring with exaggerated sincerity, placing his hand over his heart.
He tilts his head, smirking slightly but catching himself.
He leans on the ropes, gazing out into the crowd with mock sincerity.
He raises an eyebrow, nodding dramatically
Hendry steps back to the center of the ring, his grin growing as the crowd starts to catch on to his tone. He points confidently to the titantron.
The video begins with slow, dramatic footage of Christian Cage’s career highlights: raising championships, cutting fiery promos, and posing with fans. The tone is heartfelt, and the colors are warm and golden.
🎵 "I want more time, want more time, I want more time…" 🎵 The camera pans across the crowd as the video changes tone when it switches to Joe Hendry with a giant Christian Cage face cutout masked to his face.
🎵 "Oh, Stormy, Stormy, How was I supposed to know That you’d end it so quickly? Oh, Stormy, Stormy, I thought I’d put on a show, But you pinned me so swiftly!"🎵 The video suddenly shifts to black-and-white footage of actual James Storm hitting the Last Call Superkick and Christian’s shocked face after the pin.
🎵 "Tell me, how’d you make it look So easy, Stormy? I can’t believe it’s over now, oh, because –" 🎵 Switching back to “Christian Cage”, he dramatically flips through “How to Win a Match – for Dummies”. Joe Hendry, as himself, is green-screened into the crowd cheering “Christian” on before looking shocked when Joe Hendry appears on the ramp as “James Storm”!
🎵 "Two moves, one pin, It’s killing me inside. I must confess I feel denied, feel denied. You hit me fast, it shattered my pride, Give me a sign, Pinned me, Stormy, in two moves’ time." 🎵 The chorus is accompanied by slow-motion replays of the Eye of the Storm and Last Call Superkick with supercuts of Christian losing. This includes cuts of “Christian Cage” throwing tantrums famous from 2001 and writing letters to James Storm, “Please give me my belt back, I promise this wasn’t my first time. This doesn’t usually happen to me…”.
🎵 "I want more time, want more time, I want more time!" 🎵 “Christian Cage” cries as he admires a clock longingly and on Google, he searches “How to Last Longer in Matches”.
🎵 "Oh, Stormy, Stormy, The reason they cheer is you, They’ve all stopped believing. Oh, cowboy Stormy, I don’t know what I can do, This loss has me reeling!" 🎵 Joe Hendry as "Seth Rollins" and "Nikki Cross" appear cheering for “James Storm” but try and act like they don’t as a shocked “Christian” looks at them. Then when “Christian” loses, they walk away from ringside to a building labeled “Joe Hendry Fan Club”. The video then shows “Christian Cage” sitting in a therapy session, dramatically retelling the loss to a “therapist” (played by Hendry with a fake mustache and pipe), who takes notes with a smirk. The camera zooms in to see the notes say only: “Christian can’t last long in matches”.
🎵 "Tell me, how’d you make it look So easy, Stormy? I can’t believe it’s over now, oh, because!" 🎵 The screen shows “Christian” sobbing as it supercuts him losing constantly in 2 moves now in training matches. “Seth” and “Nikki” stand to the side of the ring shaking their heads in disappointment and shame as they now wear Joe Hendry t-shirts.
🎵 "Two moves, one pin, It’s killing me inside. I must confess I feel denied, feel denied. You hit me fast, it shattered my pride, Give me a sign, Pinned me, Stormy, in two moves’ time."🎵 “Christian” collapses to the ground full-on in tantrum mode as a speech bubble appears over his head saying, “I am a 2 moves and done kind of guy”, as the fake crowd in the video sings the chorus along with Hendry in the crowd. Before long, “Nikki”, “Seth” and “James Storm” all join in the shot as they sing along together.
🎵 "Oh, Stormy, Stormy, How was I supposed to know? Oh, cowboy Stormy, You’ve made me a joke!" 🎵 The screen freezes on a hilariously exaggerated close-up of actual Christian’s shocked face after the pin. Text flashes: “Can’t last longer than 2 moves” pointing at Christian. The camera cuts to the arena in Minnesota, as the live crowd has begun singing along with the chorus with Hendry himself. The scene fades to a commercial with them singing together.
